Here are some of the recipes Finn enjoys most! Feel free to use this as a general guide. The important thing to remember is just portions and balance - maintaining the balance between protein, vitamins and carbs.

When transitioning your dog to fresh food, I've found it best to introduce ingredients incrementally. I did this for a few reasons:
Monitor how your dog is reacting and digesting the food.
Ease your dog into new ingredients versus a party in their bowl.
See what they like versus what they don't. When you isolate the variables, it's easier to identify what your dog likes that you included and what they didn't.
Balance, balance, balance.
Portions below are based on Finn's ideal adult weight of 80 lbs.
1 pound protein (this equates to roughly 3.5 cups of shredded cooked chicken)
2 cups of yogurt or cottage cheese
2 cups of vegetables
4 cups of potatoes - I have mixed feelings about this one so I did not include potatoes
4 tablespoons of Sunflower oil (studies show that sunflower oil is rich in vitamins great for your dog)
2 teaspoons of bone meat or ground eggshell

Since Finn is notoriously picky and to help ease him into these new ingredients, I streamlines a lot of the above recipe. Below is my transition plan for the fresh food:
Week 1
For the first week, I am only using ingredients Finn is familiar with. From here out, I'll introduce one new ingredient per week.
3.5 cups shredded chicken (I boiled drumsticks and chicken leg quarts and then shredded the meat)
2 cups of mixed vegetables (some meals I do half pumpkin and half veggies)
4 tablespoons of sunflower oil
Week 2
For the first week, I am only using ingredients Finn is familiar with. From here out, I'll introduce one new ingredient per week.
3.5 cups shredded chicken (I boiled drumsticks and chicken leg quarts and then shredded the meat)
2 cups of mixed vegetables
4 tablespoons of sunflower oil
2 cups yogurt
Week 3
For the first week, I am only using ingredients Finn is familiar with. From here out, I'll introduce one new ingredient per week.
3.5 cups shredded chicken (I boiled drumsticks and chicken leg quarts and then shredded the meat)
2 cups of mixed vegetables
4 tablespoons of sunflower oil
2 cups yogurt
Bone Powder (follow label instructions for serving size)
